Talk about thinking “inside the box”.

A South Carolina judge has ordered the closing of a funeral home where a worker cut the legs off a body so it would fit in a casket. You have to admire the person’s can-do attitude though.

Makes us think of that scene in Shallow Grave when Ewan saws off body parts.

A judge upheld last month’s decision by the state Funeral Board to revoke the license of Cave Funeral Home and owner Michael Cave.

First off, that is one bad name for a funeral home.

Cave admitted his Allendale funeral home cut the legs off 6-foot-7 tall James Hines five years ago and did not tell the family.

Second, did the family not do the math and wonder how James fit?

It was a fired funeral home worker that notified the family about a year ago.

Third, never fire employees when you chop legs off dead people. That kind of secret may get out.

For those keeping score, Allendale is 75 miles southwest of Columbia.

Finally, don’t die in South America.
