Good day everyone, how was the weekend? It was a relaxing one at Cuzoogle HQ with a few movies, eating out and getting ready for the week ahead.
Since times are pretty slow for the Raptors now that they have revamped the team, it is hard filling a week out with fun content.
A few weeks ago we were approached by Yardbarker (our main ad network) about having the chance to interview a SI Swimsuit Model.
Without any details whatsoever, the agreement was made. Talk about a big moment for the blog.
Last week we finally got the email from YB saying the Brooklyn Decker was going to be made available to discuss the new SI iPhone app that was released last week.
Ideas were spinning through our heads on the best way to maximize this chance.
Questions were written, head sets were bought and everything for the entire week was zeroing in on Thursday evening when we were going to interview Brooklyn Decker on the phone.
As cool as it was, there were plenty of nerves involved. It was not until the dialing of the phone that it sunk in that we were going to talk to one of the hottest women in the world and hopefully did not sound like a dork.
Then it all vanished like the sun setting at the end of a SI Swimsuit photo shoot.
The contact number that YB provided was not answering. This idea did not even cross our mind the whole time. Thank God there was not a great deal of promotion involved.
So we left a message and was also assured by YB that the guy would be in contact at least by Friday.
At this time, no call back, no word of if the interview will ever happen or anything.
Now we are certainly not the first to ever lose an interview. It was just annoying that the contact guy said he would call back and never did. Oh well, life goes on.
Why are we telling you this? Well ideally we were shooting for pity but we know that won’t happen. Basically it is a good excuse to share an almost glorious moment in blogging and to post hot photos of Brooklyn Decker.
So @BrooklynDDecker, if you ever read this, here are the questions we planned on asking. Notice none were about your relationship with Andy. Unlike ESPN, we were actually going to ask about the iPhone app and things about you.
Feel free to contact us and answer them if you like.
Questions for Brooklyn Decker
1. Please tell us more about the SI Swimsuit iPhone App.
2. How does it make you feel to be on so many people’s phones?
3. Do you have an iPhone or BlackBerry? or other.
4. Do you read any blogs or sports blogs? Ever heard of Cuzoogle? (had low hopes on that one)
5. We are based in Canada, have you ever been?
6. What is your favourite thing/perk about working for SI?
7. What was the last movie you saw? We noticed on Twitter you were looking forward to the latest Harry Potter.
8. Any upcoming TV shows or movies for yourself?
9. Twitter or Facebook?
10. If you had to choose one food to eat for the rest of your life it would be?
Those were just a few we had planned.
So that was our almost big moment in blogging. It would of been a lot of fun and maybe one day it will still happen.
Back to boring old posting about the Toronto Raptors for now.
