Is it just me or is this whole NBA banning players from tweeting etc. during games way to serious? Hard to imagine something as silly as posting on Twitter needed rules handed down by the NBA brass.
Did they really think coaches would let their players text while a game is going on?
Picture the Orlando Magic bench as Vince Carter sends a tweet saying his leg is sore. First of all, SHOCKER, second of all, Stan Van would lose his shit, screaming something like “WTF is a tweet and why are you not taking it strong to the hole you pussy”.
Maybe the locker room would be an issue but for a league that sticks microphones in timeouts and forces coaches to have interviews after a quarter, why on earth would they not take advantage of this all-access.
Odds are it is all about Vegas and I can see their point, but man it would be funny to follow a game on Twitter as players trash talk in front of the world.
Rasheed Wallace’s Twitter page would be the hottest thing on the net (if he even has one).
I say boo to the NBA for taking this little piece of fun away. Soon they will be like the NFL and ban all outlets of fun all together.
What do you think?
