Read into it what you want, but Chris Bosh is heading for a new home if you believe all the hype about changes to his Twitter feed over the last couple of days.
Tweeting seems to be the way these days to communicate to your fans, friends, followers and random hangers-on, and Bosh recently twice made his feelings known that he was having trouble making his mind up about the future.
While Raptors fans might have taken that as a boost, Bosh asking his followers to help him decide, since I would imagine there are plenty of locals who are among that number, but his change of location to ‘everywhere’ rather than ‘Toronto’ makes you think the dream ride is coming to an end.
He also removed a biography section that noted his status as Raptors captain and seems set to break all ties with the only club he has played for since his arrival in the NBA back in 2005.
NBA Play-off betting experts have suggested that Raptors fans have apparently been voting that it is time for him to go, but surely that is all down to them being tired of his act in recent months, whereby his reticence to say anything good about the city has finally worn them down.
Thing is, as it stands, Bosh is the biggest name in the free agent market who teams could actually talk to before July 1 with Dwyane Wade seemingly heading back to Miami, and LeBron James still in the playoffs and stumbling down the stretch with a sore elbow.
It’s quite clear Bosh is trying badly to find a suitor, but his main problem is the fact that most of the teams he wants to play for are still playing themselves and don’t want to talk to him, and the other teams who want him are so bad they might find it difficult to put together a decent package.
The NBA Betting favourites? Well it has always seemed likely that the New York Knicks would get one big free-agent, and the signs are Bosh is the most likely of the big three especially if James decides to return to Cleveland – their fate in the playoffs will most likely determine that.
But it is fans in Houston who seem to have taken Bosh to their hearts recently and putting him in a team also including Yao Ming and Aaron Brooks is quite a mouth-watering thought even in the tough Western Conference. Of course, getting CB4 out of the East, and especially the Atlantic, would be something positive.
