Tell me if this plot outline sounds familiar.
Ronald Miller is tired of being a nerd, and makes a deal with one of the most popular girls in school to help him break into the “cool” clic. He offers her a thousand dollars to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. It succeeds, but he soon learns that the price of popularity may be higher than he expected.

That is from the 1987 film, Can’t Buy Me Love. (Sidenote: Damn Cuzzy you are old)
Now it could all work out for Chris and he could be on the verge of a whole room of titles but I just can’t see it happening.
Chris and his ever-growing need to be popular won’t be able to handle always being the third wheel on the Miami Heat. LeBron and D-Wade are in a whole new universe compared to Chris and despite what the last 3 weeks have told us, Bosh is not the third best player in the NBA.
He is a solid 20 and 10 guy who works hard and makes for a very good NBA player. But changing zip codes does not make him a better defender or a big shot maker.
Bosh is getting everything he ever wanted but it is sad to see the media strip away the last seven years in Toronto like it never happened. Bosh has a lot of fans in Canada and Toronto (me being 1) and I just hope he does not totally forget where he came from and who helped him get to where he is.
Don’t let this whole story play out like it did for Ronald. Don’t be so consumed with popularity that you forget your roots. Don’t forget your time as a Raptor.
