Tom Brady is looking like a man capable of leading the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl, and this was shown superbly during their 45-3 pounding of the New York Jets last time out.

Only three months ago the Patriots were struggling for wins, but now they sit top of the American Football Conference and Brady was shown by the statistics to have a fourth straight “near-perfect” game as he completed 21-of-29 passes for 326 yards and four touchdowns in the Jets win.

It was their 26th consecutive home win and what must worry their rivals is that win looked like securing them home-field advantage for the play-offs and this is reflected in the Super Bowl betting odds 2011.

They boast a 10-2 record at the top of the AFC and that gives them the best record in the road to the Cowboys Stadium and the Super Bowl 2011 odds suggest they have an excellent chance of going all the way.

Patriots centre Dan Koppen has stated however their record “does not mean anything” at this point in time as he play-offs in January remain a “long way away”.

The Patriots could face some challenge for the Super Bowl title, as they are not the only team with ten wins so far this season. Atlanta boasts a similar record, while Pittsburgh, Chicago, New Orleans and the Jets all have a 9-3 record.

Fans also need to bear in mind the Patriots face a tough run of games on the horizon as they must come up against Chicago, Green Bay, Buffalo and Miami.

However if Brady and the rest of the Patriots continue on with their recent form, then their road to the Super Bowl at the Cowboys Stadium looks paved with glory and they should be classed as the favourites for the title.
