Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are not exactly quaking in their boots at the prospect of who they will face after the wild card round of the NFL playoffs has been completed, but the fact remains that the favourites to win the Super Bowl are likely to be feeling pretty frustrated at having time off and not being able to prepare defensive plays or attacking routes as effectively as they would like to in an ideal world.

Brady has previously attempted to avoid annoying any of the three potential sides that his team could meet, suggesting that the Kansas City Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets are all footballing sides capable of packing a punch on their day, but there is no doubting the fact that the Ravens are the side that Patriots fans would not want to see their team come up against.

That said, Brady and the Patriots know that his fantastic form should mean that any sides they meet in the play-offs are more than likely to be spending more time worrying about the Patriots’ offence than they would like to, especially given the fact that the Patriots have been able to enjoy a week off in which time they have been able to rest and recuperate.

Super bowl betting pundits note how the Patriots currently possess a 14-2 record this season and as such are overwhelming favourites to triumph in the AFC. However, as they will know, records mean nothing once you reach the Super Bowl final, and it is there that they will need to show just how good they can be.
