So it is seven days since we turned in all of our cable gear and what do you know, the world did not end? In fact it has been a great week of more sleep and getting odd jobs done around the house. Yes, I did realize yesterday that our cable feed is still active (most cable companies leave it going for 30 odd days or until they get to turning it off). But all it meant was I caught some of the hockey game last night. I will use it to my advantage to see the NBA Finals (missed for two games) but other than that we are all about the Netflix.

We have gotten into a few shows like Community and the IT Crowd and the Doc section should keep us busy all summer. I have to say I am pretty impressed with Netflix so far and it has made the no cable transition pretty easy. The eight bucks over the one hundred bucks for cable makes it easy as well.

I have gotten back into the Tudors and we may get on the Mad Men train at some point.

I can’t see a downside of pulling the plug on cable and the endless channels we never watch.

I guess I will wait and see how it feels after a few weeks. Until then.
