Well it looks like Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors is making some plans for after the Eurobasket tourney. Is Il Mago taking his magical skills to Europe?

The La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Montepaschi Siena is interested in Bargnani for the upcoming season, at least until NBA lockout ends.

Of course this is just a rumour since Bargnani has never talked about the possibility to return overseas during the lockout. He has been postponing any decision after Eurobasket where he is playing with Italian National Team.

Makes sense to me though, he is a name over there and I personally think if there is no season, it would be great for his game. He is someone who can’t have a year off. His game is ready to go upward, not lose steam. Maybe playing overseas will toughen him up and teach him how to rebound?

The Toronto Raptors star is receiving a lot of proposals from European top teams but Siena is ready to make a big offer. Payday!

It is reported that Bargnani is thinking to extend his insurance even for the period after Eurobasket to get ready for a proposal to play overseas if he decides to play somewhere else during the lockout. This actually tells me that there could be some truth to this story. The NBA is not happening, it is time for players to start making a plan.

I hope this happens (if there is no season of course).
