Letter to the creators of Entourage - Your Final Season Blew
Dear creators of Entourage,
Before I go off on my frustration about the final eight episodes of your show, I want to thank you for the previous seasons. You brought us “Drama“, moments of hilarity and a reason to watch TV on Sunday nights (other than NFL).
The show was simple in concept but it delivered for the most part on laughs, babes and letting us all experience a lifestyle that was out of reach for 99% of us.
The music was top notch every week and I will give you full credit for actually launching the career of Kings of Leon.
There were classic episodes of weed gurus, threesomes and many, many cameos by athletes and movie stars. The final season, it was overblown. Way too many people wanting to be on. Like I said before, once Chris Bosh is on your show, it is all downhill.
But by far the one thing that I will always be thankful for is that your show, Entourage, brought us Sloan. You could of had 22 minutes of her every week and the ratings would of been excellent. That would of been better than the horseshit that was aired for the final season.
So back to the “final season” that just ended and ended with a thud.
WTF was that???
So Turtle goes on Jenny Craig and can’t be funny anymore? Vince turns into an annoying teenager and can’t get his way? Oh and let’s not get started with E. He was the worst thing about the show.
The blonde turd from Hawaii 5-0 was better than E.
The story lines were boring, there were no risks, no shocking moments and no drama (other than brother Chase). It was the final season. Go out with a bang. Do something memorable. Most good shows kill people off or something.
I will admit Billy Walsh was somewhat funny but that was about it.
You killed the Ari Gold that we all know and love. He did not offend any countries, races or assistants for that matter. What made the show so good, you stripped it from the creative process.
Did you just mail it in? Did you not care anymore? An explanation would be great. Or maybe you thought the Dice Man would be all you need to make the final season go out with a blaze of glory.
Now I guess the joke is on me because I sat there and watched each week. I got sucked in and I still watched. You did not force it on me, I chose to.
But to end a show like that? There has to be a plan for a movie or maybe a secret season that is actually good? Ok, second thought. Please don’t do a movie.
I am not alone on this. I keep reading endless rips and complaints online that are very similar to mine. It was not epic television but you built characters we learned to love and look forward to. Then in one fell swoop, you ran out of ideas.
Sad way to end it, sad, sad, sad.
I only wish I could go back to the start of the season and choose to watch something else.
