For those who have read Cuzoogle for awhile, you know we have a soft spot in our heart for Survivor. The show has been on our radar since day one, so it is no surprise we have to mention this story we saw in the Huffington Post over the weekend.

Rupert Boneham For Governor!

That’s right, Rupert Boneham wants to make a change and this is for real. Not an episode of Parks and Rec, the real thing.

Rupert, who won over TV viewers during 2004’s “Survivor: All-Stars”, now is hoping Indiana voters will find him just as charming.

Boneham announced Saturday that he’s seeking the Libertarian Party nomination for Indiana governor, saying he wants to take on the state’s political establishment because he feels voters deserve better.

This is crazy. Can you imagine that crazy, bearded dude running something other than a beard club?

I guess this only continues to prove that you need very little celeb status to try and make a difference. We will have to keep an eye on this and see if he actually wins.

At the very least, it is good for some Survivor related jokes.
