Now in the 13th week of the 2011 NFL season, we are starting to get a strong sense of how the various conferences will shape up, and the AFC West looks to be a straight shoot-out between the Oakland Raiders and the Denver Broncos as they continue to provide exciting hosts to live in-play betting. The next round of fixtures will see the Raiders take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and whilst they will be concerned by the continued absence of Darren McFadden, who is still struggling to overcome a long-term injury, the general consensus is that they will have enough in the locker to see off the Dolphins, thereby putting them in a very favorable position.

The Dolphins however, will feel that this is far from a one-sided contest – until their Thanksgiving Day loss at Dallas, they had won three straight games and looked as though they might just come out of nowhere to put real pressure on the other sides in the Eastern Conference. However, with the Broncos breathing down their necks, the Raiders should have enough to continue their fine run of form and hold on.

The Raiders are currently 7-4 with the Broncos trailing them 6-5, and with Oakland now on a three game winning streak – only the second time they have managed this feat in the last decade – they are in the form of their lives. Certainly they will feel that the Conference is theirs to lose at this stage. It also appears so in the online bets.

If they have a weakness it is perhaps in defense, and their impending trip to the Packers in a fortnight’s time will be playing on Coach Jackson’s mind, but certainly their discipline has come on in leaps and bounds from where it was just a few months ago, and with the incentive of qualifying for the post-season just out of their reach at present, they should have enough to get over the line.
