Well the Phoenix Suns have thrown in the towel. They must be looking to break some kind of shots per game record. Why? They have signed prolific “chucker”, Michael Redd.
Redd is a career 44.9-percent shooter overall, including 38.3 percent from three-point range, and owns 1,003 career threes, one of just nine players in NBA history to make 1,000 three-pointers with a single team.
Yes those stats sound awesome but from all my years of watching Redd, he is a chucker and just happens to make a lot of them. He is an offensive flow killer. He is a black hole. I could go on.
When he was with the Bucks, you just knew what was going to happen if you passed him the ball.
Anyways, the Suns must see something in him because they have taken a flier on him. Maybe it is because of their training staff that seems to have the magic touch.
They have revived players such as Antonio McDyess, Shaquille O’Neal and Grant Hill in the past.
Redd is going to score a pile with Steve Nash getting him the rock. Just too bad it won’t mean much in the win column for the Suns.
