Peyton Manning admits that he is not sure he’ll remain with the Indianapolis Colts next season after describing the franchise’s facilities as ‘not a good environment’ as he looks to recovery from his neck injury.

Manning has missed the entire season due to the problem and with owner Jim Irsay yet to the make a decision on whether the Colts keep him on for next term the decision could come down to whether or not the owner and the board feel 35-year-old is worthy of the $28million bonus he’ll pick up if he stays on. Anyone looking at the online American football odds will be keeping an eye on developments.

However, the Manning has hinted that he could be on his way out of the Lucas Oil Centre as he is unsure the recent turnover of staff is the best thing to help him as he looks to relax.

“I’m not in a very good place for healing, let’s say that,” he told the Indianapolis Star. “It’s not a real good environment down there right now, to say the least. Everybody’s walking around on eggshells. I don’t recognize our building right now. There’s such complete and total change.”

The former Super Bowl MVP says he is yet to meet with Irsay to discuss his future but says he has already held preliminary talks with general manager Ryan Grigson.

The quarterback is adamant that he wants to stay with the team he’s played with for the whole of his career but says his future is out of his hands.

“I don’t want to get into some kind of fan campaign with the owner, but I think it’s well documented that I want to play in the same place my whole career,” he said.

“Whatever happens, happens. I can’t give you a prediction because Jim and I will sit down at some point and he’ll get a feel for where I am and I’ll get a sense of what direction he wants to go. Right now, I have no idea.”
